FAQ
Nebula is a financial technology company, not a bank. Deposits are held at FDIC-insured partner institutions and cards are issued by a regulated partner. What we build on top is the part traditional banks do not have: a ledger whose native dimensions are agent, model and environment.
Companies formed in any US state, DC or Puerto Rico, with an EIN. You do not need to live in the US: founders and 25%+ owners can be US citizens or citizens of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, India, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, the UK or Uruguay. We cannot serve sanctioned regions such as Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Crimea. See the full list in our Terms.
One API call creates a virtual card bound to a policy — a monthly ceiling, a merchant allowlist, an environment, an expiry. The agent receives a scoped credential, never your production keys. Revoking it is a second call and takes effect at the network level within a second.
It cannot, by design. Limits are enforced when the authorisation is requested, before money moves, so a runaway loop is declined rather than discovered on the invoice. Every decline is logged with the policy that fired and the agent that triggered it.
No. Most customers keep their operating account where it is and route inference, cloud and agent spend through Nebula. Connecting vendors is read-only by default, and historical spend is backfilled so your first month is comparable.
Your transaction data is never used to train models and is never sold. Vendor credentials are held in an isolated vault, agents see only the data a task requires, and every access is written to an immutable audit log you can query.
There is no platform fee on the Growth plan, and cards, authorisations and domestic ACH are free on every plan. You pay a per-payout fee and an FX spread on international transfers, and for usage beyond your plan’s allowances. The estimator on the pricing page shows what a company of your size actually pays.
